Over the years, WAWO has had a hard time to account for its income and expenses in a way that satisfies the various countries where we are active. This is not to say that we have not done the accounting, on the contrary, but that reporting in the formats required by various authorities was a problem for us–mainly because we have a very small income and rely on volunteers to do this.
We still cannot justify having an accountant on payroll. However, the new Board of 2020 resolved to contract with a cloud based management system made specifically for churches and non-profits. We will be able to import our membership roll and historical books (now in Excel format) to get the system into the 21st century. We are very excited about this because transparency and proper reporting has always been very important to us.

We hope to get help from devotees who know about fund accounting to help us streamline the new online, cloud-based system.
Our income is still in the area of only about $60k a year, and we do so very much with that because everyone donates time and expertise. As you know we have been very active in Cambodia with training, counselling services, retreats and installing water and latrines for impoverish people in small villages. We have been working hard on the many courses, books and video materials over the years and now is the time for us to go big. We have been training in India, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, the USA, Canada, Mexico, and we have people helping in Ireland, the UK, New Zealand, Australia and in South Africa. It is time now to let all the work we did over the past 10 years come to fruition.
Our CEO, still, earns less than $20k a year and generates more than that in donations from services rendered. However, we have been working for many years to create infrastructure and train hundreds of people, monks and devotees. We expect to see the years 2021-2022 capitalize on the many years of investment by so many people. We believe that we will be earning 5X and 10X our present income in the coming two years, and we want to be ready to be open and transparent and visibly accountable.
WAWO (Wayism International) makes possible several local and physical devotional congregations and is working toward making online devotional and spiritual support services available to members and the general public. To this effect, we have ordained monks in SE Asia, Western Europe, Canada and the USA who assist in providing devotional and spiritual helping services.
This incentive follows on the success of the book Butterfly Path, which is distributed mostly for free as an ebook in East and SE Asia, Africa and in congregations the world over.

On 12 September 2020, Teacher +Yajn (Jean du Plessis) was elected to Chairperson of the Board of WAWO.
Due to Covid-19, the scheduled AGM in Varanasi is cancelled and will not take place in November/December of 2020 as planned. During August of 2020, the Board Secretary +Prabhu Yadhavar departed due to health reasons and we deemed it in everyone’s interest to conduct the AGM online. The AGM was conducted online via our Teams meeting software on 12 September 2020.
Teacher +Yajn was charged with the urgent duty to recruit a full board membership representative of the membership nations.
Teacher +Yajn has been active on Senior Council since 2001. He has published several books and courses on Wayism over the past two decades.
Senior Council set the date and venue for General Meeting 2020.
GM2020 will be on Tuesday and Wednesday December 01 and 02, 2020 in Varanasi.
Exact venue for GM meeting rooms will be finalized by February 2020.
Exciting items on the agenda
At GM2020 Teacher +Yajn will ascend to fill the position of Senior Council President and Chairperson of the Board of Directors that were vacant for the past sixteen years.
At GM2020 the first Junior Council will be formed and several members selected from India and Anglo-speaking western world will be appointed to form this international Council and regional representatives to plan and set in motion international projects to forward Wayism in the western world.

2020 Dev Diwali
Dev Deepawali (Diwali of Gods) is celebrated 15 days after Diwali. It is a famous Utsav celebrated every year at the holy city Varanasi. Dev Deepawali, which is also spelled as Dev Diwali, is celebrated to mark the victory of Lord Shiva over demon Tripurasur (त्रिपुरासुर). Hence Dev Deepawali Utsav is also known as Tripurotsav or Tripurari Purnima which is observed on the auspicious day of Kartik Purnima.
On
Dev Deepawali, devotees take a holy dip in the Ganges on the auspicious
day of Kartik Purnima and light earthen lamps or Diya(s) in the
evening. When the dusk sets, the steps of all the Ghats on the
riverfront of the Ganges are lit with millions of earthen lamps. Not
only the Ghats of Ganges but also all temples of Benares are lit with
millions of Diya(s).
When Teacher +Yusa passed over in 2003, he designated Teacher +Yajn to take the lead of Senior Council. Teacher +Yajn was designated to lead Senior Council in 2003 by vote, based on Teacher +Yusa’s wishes. The position however remained vacant for sixteen years more as Teacher +Yajn declined the appointment. But things have changed.
During the AGM of 2017, Teacher +Yajn announced that he will take up the position as the “public face” of Wayism International in 2020.
We met with Teacher +Yajn at his offices in Canada during September 2018 to talk about what motivated him to finally take the step.

Q: Teacher Yajn, academically speaking, you are known to be the most most highly qualified teacher in Wayism, internationally. You have several degrees in religious studies and you earned the highest degrees in Divinity that our school offers, you are in fact a Doctor of Divinity. What were the reasons for declining the senior position on Council for more than a decade?
A: It was not a one-time thing, that decision. And it was also not just a handful of reasons why. I had to remake that decision perhaps twenty times and restate my position on it over many years. For a student to not follow through on his Teacher’s wishes is a weight and burden that is very hard to carry. I did that carrying for all those years. Now it will be over in 2020. I am now qualified to do perform that task but am still very junior.
Q: Teacher. You say that you are junior but you wrote several books on Wayism, you also edited the Eastern Bible in English and co-authored Wayism: The Primary Text. Also, you wrote thousands of pages course materials in Pneumatherapy and many, many more feats. Why do you say that only now you are qualified?
A: This task is one of fielding a multinational campaign with very little money and a leadership team who never had the opportunities to embrace and learn the intricacies of the Internet, digital publications and communications. Our leadership team was trapped in monasteries from Kashgar to Coimbatore, in jungle and mountain villages. It took more than a decade to get one book published because that is what it takes to consult all the older teachers across several spiritual traditions. In understood Teacher +Yusa’s instructions as that, to first harvest the wisdom, and then to find sponsors and then to lead the team.
Q: Are you confidant that sponsors will be forthcoming, now that you have harvested the ancient wisdoms and are making it available?
A: I am confidant. Based on my experience working for the cause almost all of my life, sometimes with not enough money for food. Then money comes enough to start a shelter for homeless women and orphan babies. Heaven is always working on the souls of people who want to help and some of them cannot help with their hands and minds but with their financial means. Money is not the only thing we need. We need hearts. You cannot buy that even with millions in the bank, you cannot buy the labour of love. I know the angels and spiritual beings personally, I have been employed by them for decades. I have had many, many arguments with them about budgets and business plans. They see the world quite differently. I know in my heart that right now as we speak they are working on someone in the most unlikely place in the USA to show her very sensitive soul what she needs to do to not perish and to honour the legacy of her ancestors. I also know of someone in China, a person in Canada and others in the Americas who are being saved by the same angels. It will all work out as it must for everyone concerned.
Q: Teacher, have you met these people?
A: I don’t know whether I did meet them or not. My knowledge of this comes from the metaphysical plane. I have a knowing, but I don’t care much about details as that will come when its time is right.
Q: Teacher. Why 2020 and not 2018 or 2019?
A: Well. One must know what happened in 2012, metaphysically that is. It was a new era that started. Four years after 2016, if you look back you will see the signs, it was the first foundation laid. Four years after that, 2020, the whole foundation is built and it is time then to raise the new era up. You must also know when the ancients projected the year 2012 will be the swing point in spirituality, they were working from the previous calendar, the Gregorian calendar now in use came much later. According to the old calendar still in use in Ethiopia, which is 6 later, because that was the supposed birth date of Teacher Jesus, the year 2012 starts in March of 2020. What will happen from 2020 onward, on the spiritual energy development level of humankind will be like an explosion and the most sensitive, the most adept at this craft, will be challenged with ever increasing higher awareness and millions of people will awaken. Nobody is prepared for this, it will be bigger than anything we have lived through in recent times. I think our task is one of emergency care. We need to prepare thousands of healers, teachers and guides to save millions of souls in the next twenty years, and it will take all of us getting together to do our dharma.
Q: Teacher Yajn, we all look forward to your leadership and I for one, and many others sit poised to follow your lead. may God be with you and all of us.
A: Thank you. We will all flow well and I know it will be great fun and a whole bunch of joy will be had to share with everyone.
A blog post by this name may not seem like news. The many different Lotus Family groups in China has a long history (1200 year history), and much of it is shrouded in disinformation, sexual “scandal” and romance, causing the families to go underground again, perhaps for the seventh time in history. See Wikipedia for a fairish article about these early Wayists.
However, the Lotus Families of China are still under the radar and are still doing amazing things to help their communities. Still, hospitals are built, roads repaired, schools are funded and children bought out of slavery…there’s no end to the heartfelt stories from the Asian heroes of benevolence.

So, why now a newsflash about underground under radar lotus families? Because there are now a few in Southern China who surfaced in public face and they have a new face, a more “tolerable” face. The new groups will not engage in acts of public compassion, or bridge building or community caring, because those were the things that usually got them into trouble. The new groups will worship and will only worship Guanyin. Yes, almost like a normal Buddhist sect they will simply meet for prayer and worship. Now we do know that is never good enough to make the Wayist heart feel warm, we simply cannot stop ourselves healing and helping (in appropriate ways). However, our families in China assure us that the public facing groups of White Lotus Families will have a public face of worship only, and what they do when the lights go out will remain unknown as it should be.
The other problem that haunted Chinese families was the matter of sacred sensuality and the importance placed on healthy sexual relations and less sexual taboos. Our friends in China assure us that they are definitely not about to irritate anyone about this and they intend to behave as expected in Chinese society.
We are very happy to hear this news. The latest tally from June 2018 is forty two (42) public facing groups registered with the Beijing Wayist Office.
We have moved offices to the historic building 174–178 Christina Street North, Sarnia, Ontario.
The building has several apartments, offices and commercial units. We will occupy and use as we need and as needs expand over the time to come. We can grow into future needs and can plan to our budget’s delight.
